2026-SAPTAMI XVII - NATIONAL FINALS - DANCE CONTESTS

 IMPORTANT CHANGES:

1.     This year all group participants MUST register individually under group category and one member of the group MUST complete the group name and all group members ID and Full Names in the declaration form which will be sent out to you few days before the event.

2. Must be in full Dance Costume, Every Dancer MUST bring a floor spread and all makeup must be done only on that spread so that the facility cannot be messed up. This is a MUST. Please adhere to this policy. 

3. At the time of check-in you must have declaration form ready with your song selection. 

4. All performers MUST bring the song in two flash drives ONLY in MP3 format. (One flash drive as a backup). Place one flash drive in an envelope and write on that envelope your full name, and segment you registered for. 

5. The Flash drive MUST contain ONLY that song. If you are taking part in multiple segments each segment must be in separate flash drive. 

6. After your event, please collect the flash drive. 

RULES ARE 

1. While same song which was used or Prelims can be used, being finals it is to your advantage to be ready to be competitive and feel free to choose any other piece which will showcase your learning better. You will not be penalized if you use the same song. 

2, As a general rule, as always, please do not mention your name or your Guru's name or your Dance School name during your performance to make the competition fair and just. 

3. Your room officer will be helping you with all your questions on the day of the contests. (Exact contest date/time and details will be sent via e-mail to all registered contestants).

 4. Do not remove the file share that you did for Prelims until the Finals are completed and results are announced. 

Read event specific rules under each event listed below. 

1. Please note that ranking will not be given based on number of entries in each age group. Ranking will be only based on performance not by number of entries in each group. For example, if you are the only candidate in a category, you automatically will not be given first rank unless your performance reflects that.

2. Few days before the event, an email will be sent to you with forms to fill up and bring print out in person to check in.

3. Juges Decision is FINAL AND BINDING. 

4. By registering in this competition, you are giving permission to organizer and SAPTAMI FOUNDATION the rights to publish your photo/video of the performance in social media / press.
